The Champ Camp is an Olympic Weightlifting school with a mission to build champions for life. It aims to empower and positively develop the youth of Al-Baqa’a Refugee Camp in Jordan by providing life skills and supporting them on an athletic, social and educational level. The sports-based programmes provide Palestinian refugee youth with meaningful opportunities to engage with their society. The project has given birth to the largest women’s weightlifting team in the history of the Arab world and aspires to continue breaking barriers through sport.
