    At the Barcelona 1992 Olympics, Vitaly Scherbo went down in Olympic history capturing gold in 6 events (team, all around, pommel horse, rings, vault and parallel bars), the most ever earned by a male gymnast at a single Olympics. Scherbo won 4 consecutive apparatus finals, becoming the first athlete to claim 4 gold medals in the same day and the most succesful athlete of the Barcelona Games.
