    In October 2017, Anna NAZAROVA of Russian Federation, competing in the Athletics Women's Long Jump event, in which she ranked 5th, has been disqualified from the XXX Olympic Summer Games in London, in 2012 by the IOC Disciplinary Commission chaired by Mr Oswald. Please note that such decision is subject to appeal to the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS). London 2012 - Brittney Reese claims victory in the women's Long Jump. Reese managed just two legal jumps from six attempts, but the first of those permitted efforts was 7.12m in the second round and proved enough to win after Russia's Elena Sokolova was unable to improve on her best of 7.07m, also achieved in the second round.
