    IOC Executive Board approves Paris 2024 venue proposal

    The International Olympic Committee (IOC)’s Executive Board (EB) today approved Paris 2024’s proposal to have Place de la Concorde as the venue for an urban sports cluster and Tahiti as the venue for surfing. The venues were approved by the Paris 2024 Executive Board on 12 December 2019 before being proposed to the IOC.

    He is one of the greatest Alpine skiers in history. Alberto Tomba competed in his first Games at Calgary in 1988, and within the space of 48 hours, between 25 and 27 February, he won the giant slalom and the slalom. He became “La Bomba”, a huge star in Italy and within his sport, and continued to produce stellar performances for the next 10 years.
