    Christian Taylor on the hunt for a third Olympic title and the triple jump world record

    The reigning double Olympic champion in the triple jump, American Christian Taylor, won his fourth world title in Doha on 29 September 2019. Having recorded the second best-ever jump in the history of his discipline in 2015, with a leap of 18.21m, he now has his sights set on a third Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Games, and is continuing his quest to beat the world record – 18.29m – held by Great Britain’s Jonathan Edwards since 1995.

The Tokyo 2020 Robot Project aims to ensure the Tokyo 2020 Games will be the most innovative ever, with the new robots expected to provide visiting fans and those watching remotely with an experience they are unlikely to forget.

    Tokyo 2020 today revealed details of the Tokyo 2020 Flower Lane project. This project engages schoolchildren in prefectures that are hosting Olympic and Paralympic events in the planting of seeds to grow flowers that will be used in place of traditional partitions to create attractive natural barriers at pedestrian screening areas in front of venues.
