Sydney 2000 Legacy
A major sporting and recreation facility in Western Sydney, the Penrith Whitewater Stadium allows anyone over 12 years old to take on the challenge of Olympic-sized rapids. The course has hosted elite international canoeing events, including the 2005 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, the 2014 Junior/U-23 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships and the Oceania Canoe Slalom Championships in 2016. It also serves as a recreational facility offering whitewater rafting, kayaking and swift water rescue training courses to the public.
