    The athlete lives and trains in Cologne, Germany. He missed out on qualification for the 2016 Rio Olympics after suffering a knee injury a few days before a qualifying competition. His sporting honours include winning a silver medal at the 2013 Arab Championships with a jump of 2.24 m; he also won gold at the 2011 African Games in Maputo with a jump of 2.25 m, a national record which he equalled in both 2012 and 2013 before beating it by a centimetre the following year. On 27 May 2015, he cleared 2.28 m at a meeting in Namur, thus qualifying for the 2015 World Championships in Beijing. He leaves Sudan in 2011 after being spotted by the IAAF. He was offered a scholarship to join a training center in Dakar where he improves his results. In 2013 he is spotted again by the IAAF, the Sudanese left Senegal to integrate the global center of high-level height in Cologne, Germany.
