    At her first Games in Albertville in 1992, Deborah Compagnoni took the gold in the super-G. The Italian then concentrated on the technical events and won the giant slalom in Lillehammer in 1994. She repeated this achievement in the same event at the Nagano Games in 1998 and thus became the first female skier to win gold at three different editions of the Games.

    Bode Miller of USA is one of the few skiers who have won Olympic medals in all the Alpine skiing events. At the Salt Lake City 2002 Games, Miller captured his first two Olympic medals, silver in the combined and the giant slalom. In Vancouver 2010, Bode proves to be a golden skier by winning the super combined gold medal, he went on to claim silver in the super-G and bronze in the downhill event, bringing his medal tally to five.
