Eva Samkova of the Czech Republic stormed to Olympic snowboard cross gold at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park, before paying tribute to the moustache that she paints on her face as a lucky charm.

Michela Moioli from Italy won the women’s snowboard cross final at Phoenix Snow Park, in a final which kept spectators guessing right across the finishing line. Julia Pereira De Sousa Mabileau from France, aged just 16, took silver at PyeongChang 2018, and Eva Samkova from the Czech Republic won a photo finish for the bronze medal.
