    IOC Debriefing of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games to get underway

    The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Debriefing of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games gets under way this week in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games host city of PyeongChang, Republic of Korea. This eighth edition of the Games Debriefing will see the staff of the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee share their knowledge and experience with their colleagues from the organising committees of PyeongChang 2018, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, as well as the 2022 Applicant Cities, over a nine day period.

    IOC awards 2018-2024 broadcast rights in Japan

    The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has awarded its broadcast partner Japan Consortium the broadcast rights in Japan for the XXIII Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang and the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in 2020 in Tokyo, as well as the broadcast rights for the 2022 and 2024 Olympic Games, the host cities of which have yet to be elected. The Japan Consortium has also acquired the right to broadcast the third Summer Youth Olympic Games, in Buenos Aires in 2018.

    Call for applications: IOC looks for partners to boost injury prevention in sport

    The protection of athletes’ health and preventing injuries and illnesses in sport are top priorities for the IOC and its Medical Commission. The IOC therefore partners with selected research centres around the world and supports research in the field of sports medicine. This has enabled the IOC to develop an international network of expert scientists and clinicians in sports injury and disease prevention research.
