Today, IOC President Thomas Bach met Korean athletes and their families who came to PyeongChang to support them at the P&G Family Home. P&G was hosting a special event at its Family Home to celebrate a mother’s role in an athlete’s journey and discuss the many challenges they face on and off the field of competition. -
Today at PyeongChang 2018: Tuesday 20 February
Figure skating gets top billing today, as ice dance pairs Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir of Canada and Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron of France face off in what is sure to be a riveting free programme. This evening will also see titles awarded in the men’s individual large hill Nordic combined competition and the biathlon mixed relay on the trails of Alpensia. Elsewhere, medals are on offer in the women’s ski halfpipe and women’s short track 3,000m relay, while the women’s bobsleigh gets underway and the men’s ice hockey moves to the qualification playoffs. -

The XXIII Olympic Winter Games were officially opened on 9 February with a dazzling Opening Ceremony that celebrated culture, history, unity, youth and peace. -
The Olympic Village in PyeongChang unveils the Olympic Truce Mural, created by South Korean artist Jaeseok Lee
The mural was inaugurated on 5 February by the IOC Executive Board, the IOC Athletes’ Commission, the PyeongChang 2018 Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea. -
Short track stars Shim and Choi out to impress on home ice
Shim Suk-hee and Choi Min-jeong are the young superstars of Korean short track speed skating. Shim won three Olympic medals at Sochi 2014, while teenager Choi has amassed seven world championship medals, including two overall golds. Both skaters will be looking for more glory on home ice at PyeongChang 2018. -
