    Boxing Road to Tokyo 2020 - Athlete Ambassadors Group announced

    Ten Athlete Ambassadors have been appointed by the Olympic Boxing Task Force (BTF) to engage with and represent boxers in the lead-up to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. One female and one male Ambassador per region will take on the role of engaging with the boxing community both in person and digitally. They will also help the BTF take into account the athletes’ voice in all areas of its planning for the qualification events and the boxing tournament at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

    Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, the greatest female sprinter of all time?

    Two consecutive Olympic titles in the 100m, four world titles in the same distance, six Olympic medals in total, eleven World Championship medals overall, nine of which are gold, including in the 200m and 4x100m relay: Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is one of, if not the, greatest female sprinters of all time.     Luis Scola – The link between two golden generations of Argentinian basketball players

    The Argentinian basketball team pulled off one of the greatest feats in their country’s sporting history by winning the gold medal at Athens 2004, having knocked out the USA in the semi-final. They were the “Golden Generation” who inspired basketball players throughout Argentina, including the teenagers who shone at the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Buenos Aires 2018. Luis Scola was a key part of that 2004 triumph, and has remained a crucial member of the team which reached the final of the 2019 FIBA World Cup and, in doing so, qualified for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

    Kendricks, Duplantis and Lisek take things to new heights

    Sam Kendricks, Armand Duplantis and Piotr Lisek have been the stars of the pole vault season, each surpassing the fabled 6m mark at least once and delivering spectacular performances in the final of the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Doha, in which Kendricks emerged victorious. We can’t wait to see them back in action in Tokyo next year, and they’re not the only ones: the performances of reigning Olympic champion Thiago Braz da Silva from Brazil and world record-holder Renaud Lavillenie from France are also hotly anticipated.
