    Morocco's only athlete in Innsbruck grabs Men's Super G Gold

    Morocco had only one athlete participating at the Innsbruck 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games and he is now a Gold medallist after winning the Alpine Skiing Men's Super G. Adam Lamhamedi (MAR) grabbed the Gold with a time of 1:04.45 minutes, and afterwards insisted his win proves anything is possible.

    African Boxing Qualifier closes in Dakar, as Asian and Oceanian boxers seek qualification for Tokyo 2020 in Amman

    The first boxing qualification event held in Dakar, Senegal, closed on 29 February, with 33 athletes winning their place at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. A total of 198 athletes from 38 countries participated in the African continental qualifier held at the Dakar Arena in Diamniadio from 20 to 29 February, competing in 13 weight categories (eight men’s and five women’s events) for a total of 192 bouts.

    Boxing Road to Tokyo 2020 - Athlete Ambassadors Group announced

    Ten Athlete Ambassadors have been appointed by the Olympic Boxing Task Force (BTF) to engage with and represent boxers in the lead-up to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. One female and one male Ambassador per region will take on the role of engaging with the boxing community both in person and digitally. They will also help the BTF take into account the athletes’ voice in all areas of its planning for the qualification events and the boxing tournament at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
