Germany duo Tobias Arlt and Tobias Wendl secured a second successive victory in the Olympic Winter Games men’s open doubles luge, and the German team a gold and bronze double, at the Alpensia Sliding Centre on Wednesday 14 February at PyeongChang 2018.

World champions Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt won the men's doubles at the Sanki Sliding Centre, to continue Germany’s golden streak in the luge at Sochi 2014.

The men's double luge had a clear form guide. Just three months before, the test event had been held on the same track and victory had gone, as expected, to the defending gold medallists Patrick Leitner and Wolfgang Linger, of Austria.
