    BMX course ready to roll for Rio 2016

    Rio de Janeiro city government has unveiled the completed BMX course for Rio 2016. Construction on the course began back in July 2014 as part of Deodoro Olympic Park, which is the second largest venue cluster for the Games.

    With two new events – slopestyle and halfpipe – added to the freestyle ski programme for Sochi 2014 there was no shortage of excitement on offer at Rosa Khutor. Canada’s Alex Bilodeau bossed the moguls yet again, there were clean sweeps for USA in the slopestyle and for France in the ski cross, while Anton Kushnir underlined Belarus mastery of the aerials, and David Wise showed why he is the halfpipe king.

    Triple joy for France as Chapuis leads sweep of the men’s ski cross podium

    Jean Frédéric Chapuis led home a French clean sweep to take Olympic gold in the men's ski cross final. His compatriots Arnaud Bovolenta took silver, while Jonathan Midol survived a fall on the line to clinch the bronze.
