Welcomed by FINA President and IOC Honorary Member Julio Maglione, he saw day three of action in the pool, with some exciting evening finals.  After watching Italian star Simona Quadarella  power her way to victory in the women’s 1,500 metres freestyle, he presented her with her gold medal in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
