    The German team is looking forward to the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Some 150 athletes from a multitude of sports will represent Germany in the games, with the goal of repeating their success in 2006, where they lead the medal count. In Turin, they scooped up 11 gold medals, 12 silver and six bronze. The country has a chance of winning medals in practically every event, particularly in alpine ski with Maria Riesch.
