    Germany reclaim dressage title as Werth joins the greats

    Germany claimed the team gold medal in the dressage on 12 August, relegating 2012 champions Great Britain to silver, despite the best efforts of their star performer Charlotte Dujardin.

    IOC, PyeongChang 2018 agree to set up “Integration Working Group”

    The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and organisers of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 today jointly decided to set up an Integration Working Group to speed up decision-making processes and improve integration between all stakeholders.

    Work begins on Rio 2016’s Deodoro Olympic Park

    It has been announced that work has begun on Rio 2016’s Deodoro Olympic Park - the second largest of Rio 2016’s two Olympic Parks. In Deodoro, three of the nine venues planned for the complex already exist, a legacy of the 2007 Pan-American Games and the 2011 World Military Games, while another six permanent and temporary venues remain to be built. Deodoro will host 11 Olympic and four Paralympic sports when Rio stages South America’s first edition of the Games.
