Launching the official journey to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Los Angeles 2028, the Local Organising Committee unveiled its Games emblem with stories that celebrate sport, art and the city's unique community.

On Monday, IOC President Thomas Bach visited Los Angeles, a Candidate City for the Olympic Games 2024. He was received by Mayor Eric Garcetti and Casey Wasserman, President of the Candidature Committee. They toured the possible venues, including the campuses of USC and UCLA, which would house the media and the athletes’ villages respectively.

When her rivals towered over her by the starting blocks at Seoul in 1988, they were all too aware of the dangers posed by the 17-year-old, waif-like American Janet Evans.
