    Women’s freestyle skiers turn on the style at PyeongChang 2018

    France’s Perrine Laffont kicked off the women’s freestyle skiing events at PyeongChang 2018 by claiming moguls gold, before Cassie Sharpe of Canada won the halfpipe title. Sarah Hofflin and Mathilde Gremaud made it a Swiss one-two in the slopestyle and Hanna Huskova of Belarus prevailed in the aerials competition. The competition ended with Canada’s Kelsey Serwa topping the podium in ski cross.

    Men’s snowboarders light up PyeongChang 2018

    US teenager Redmond Gerard kicked off the men’s snowboard events at PyeongChang 2018 by winning slopestyle gold. His compatriot Shaun White collected his third Olympic halfpipe gold, while France’s Pierre Vaultier retained his snowboard cross title, Canada’s Sébastien Toutant took the honours in the inaugural Olympic big air competition, while Switzerland’s Nevin Galmarini rounded off the action at the Phoenix Snowpark with victory in the parallel giant slalom.

    France, Belarus and Sweden show collective prowess in biathlon relays

    The French quartet won the biathlon mixed relay at PyeongChang 2018 to hand Martin Fourcade his fifth Olympic gold (and his third of these Games). The relays also produced a golden landmark for Darya Domracheva who took her personal Olympic title haul to four as she helped Belarus win the women’s event to become the most decorated female biathlete in history. Meanwhile the Swedes produced a flawless performance to overcome the Norwegians and Germans in the men’s relay.

    Flawless Galmarini clinches men’s parallel giant slalom gold

    Kingsbury primed for maiden Olympic gold

    Canada’s Mikael Kingsbury is widely regarded as the best moguls skier of all time. He capped a majestic 2016/17 season by winning a sixth consecutive overall FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup title and a sixth straight small crystal globe. Despite all his success, he is yet to win an Olympic gold, as he was pipped to the top of the podium at Sochi 2014 by compatriot Alexandre Bilodeau.
