    Today at PyeongChang 2018: Tuesday 13 February

    No fewer than eight Olympic champions will be crowned during the course of the day: in the men’s combined in Alpine skiing, the men’s and women’s sprint classic in cross-country skiing, the women’s snowboard halfpipe, the women’s 500m short track, the men’s 1,500m in speed skating, the all new curling mixed doubles event and the women’s luge singles.

    Snowboard sensation Kim seeking a home away from home in PyeongChang

    US snowboarder Chloe Kim enjoyed an outstanding Winter Youth Olympic Games Lillehammer 2016, winning gold in both the halfpipe and slopestyle. By that stage the teenager had already been causing a stir at the X Games and on the FIS World Cup circuit, and she will be among the favourites when she makes her full Olympic debut at PyeongChang 2018.

    Snowboarders sparkle as Olympic halfpipe earns rave reviews

    Many of the world’s best freestyle snowboarders were in the Republic of Korea on 18-19 February, as the Bokwang Phoenix Park Resort played host to the season’s final halfpipe event in the FIS Snowboard World Cup series, which doubled up as the official test event for PyeongChang 2018.

    Farrington tops gilt-edged podium in the women’s snowboard halfpipe

    Kaitlyn Farrington claimed the women's halfpipe snowboard title in sparkling fashion at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park. The American topped a podium that resembled a pantheon of Olympic halfpipe gold medallists, as Australia’s 2010 champion Torah Bright took silver, and Farrington’s compatriot and 2002 winner Kelly Clark claimed bronze.
