    IOC awards 2018-2020 broadcast rights in the Caribbean

    The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has awarded the exclusive broadcast rights in the Caribbean to International Media Content Ltd (IMC), parent company of SportsMax and a subsidiary of Digicel Group, for the XXIII Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang 2018 and the Games of the XXXII Olympiad Tokyo 2020.

    Highlights of the week

    IOC ACTIVITIES On 7 and 8 February, the IOC President, Jacques Rogge, chaired the discussions of the Executive Board (EB), which particularly focused on changes to athletes' nationality, the fight against doping, the recommendations of the Olympic Congress and television coverage of the Vancouver Games.The following day, the EB and IOC Athletes' Commission members visited the Olympic village, where President Rogge participated in the inauguration of the Olympic Truce Wall, with Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada.
