On 10 August 2016, the road cycling time trials in Rio saw two seasoned champions roll back the years. Switzerland’s Fabian Cancellara won the men’s gold for the second time before retiring while 43-year-old Kristin Armstrong of the USA sealed an Olympic treble. -

Veteran Swiss rider Fabian Cancellera proved his pedigree once more by powering to victory in the Rio 2016 men’s time trial on 10 August. Just as the USA’s Kristin Armstrong had done in the women’s time trial earlier in the day, the 35-year-old Cancellera showed that age is no impediment. -

He was joined by three Olympic athletes - judoka Rafaela Silva, who won Brazil’s first gold medal at the Olympic Games Rio 2016, Kristin Armstrong, three times Olympic Champion in Time Trail cycling, and Jen Kish from the bronze medal winning Canadian rugby team, as well as P&G’s Chief Brand Officer Marc Pritchard. -
