    IOC President welcomed at the Swiss Parliament

    IOC President Thomas Bach was welcomed today in both chambers of the Swiss Parliament in Bern following the invitation from the new President of the Swiss National Council, Isabelle Moret. Addressing the members of the Council, Isabelle Moret paid tribute to the President, “who does his utmost to modernise Olympism and adapt it to the spirit of our times”. She added: “the IOC’s aim is to contribute to peace and the harmonious development humanity through sport. This ambition entails the strict application of the Olympic Charter and its Code of Ethics, which make practising sport a fundamental right.”

    Mattéo Baud – Nordic combined at the YOG on home soil

    Aged 17, Mattéo Baud is one of the most promising talents in French Nordic combined skiing. He will be representing his country at the Youth Olympic Games Lausanne 2020 in a rather unusual context, as the competitions will be held on home soil – at the Jason Lamy-Chappuis Stadium in Les Tuffes, Prémanon, in the French Jura.
