She has worked as a sports envoy for the US State Department, travelling to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, to teach snowboarding to orphans. She has also worked for Kids Play International, a charity set up by US freestyle skier Tracy Evans to promote gender equality in countries recovering from genocides.
