First ever women’s judo gold for Brazil

London 2012 - Sarah Menezes is honored to be the first ever Brazilian gold medal winner in women’s judo having defeated 2008 Beijing victor Alina Dumitru of Romania in the 48kg division. The judo podium is rounded out by joint bronze medal winners Éva Csernoviczki of Hungary and Charline van Snick of Belgium.
