IOC News , Press Release wins the Clic d'Or 2003 for the best corporate site

The Olympic Movement's Website Also Adds New Sections

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) was awarded the Clic d'Or 2003 in the 'corporate' category, yesterday evening in Paris, for the quality of its Website This prestigious internet prize organised by CB News - the premier French weekly for communication and business - is the supreme award of the French net.  The Olympic Movement site was evaluated and graded according to a series of criteria, including originality of strategy, brand image consistency, development and content management, quality of the welcome page and frequency of updates.

This award comes as, launched in January 2002 for the Salt Lake City Games, acquires a new welcome page featuring three significant innovations 1:

- sports results in real time of the main events of the 35 sports currently on the Olympic programme thanks to collaboration with Agence France Presse (AFP);

- a News Section revamped and now visible from the home page to facilitate access to news from the Olympic Movement and find the very latest news more frequently;

- a Media Centre offering all kinds of information concerning the meetings and events of the Olympic Movement, as well as press releases and other files for the media.
