Welcome to the Youth Olympic Show

With Buenos Aires 2018 just under one year from now, there’s lots going down in the Youth Olympic world, with athletes preparing around the globe for the top international competition for 15-18-year-olds. The brand-new Youth Olympic Show on the Olympic Channel brings fans a monthly video wrap-up of all the latest stories in youth sport.

Spot the next Usain Bolt or Serena Williams; get the lowdown on the new sports breaking onto the Olympic programme; get tips from Olympians; and discover all there is to know about the vibrant city of Buenos Aires… you can find it all in the YOG Show.

Take a look at the first edition, where we take in a Boca Juniors game with Young Reporter Carolina Cabbella and get a taste of the Buenos Aires street food scene. Find out why Hungary produces the best canoeists in the world, with 14-year-old Szabina Szellák on her YOG journey to Buenos Aires 2018, and be inspired by the YOG athletes who have gone on to great Olympic moments, like Kimia Alizadeh, who made history as the first Iranian woman to win an Olympic medal when she claimed the taekwondo gold in Nanjing 2014, and two years later went on to pick up Olympic bronze in Rio 2016.

Tune in, sit back and enjoy the YOG journey!
