Two young journalists will go to London 2012!
Chairman of the 2012 London Olympic Games Organising Committee Seb Coe is going to give two young journalists the experience of a lifetime. Coe announced that LOCOG will give two participants of the IOC Young Reporters Programme taking place at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games a chance to fly all expenses paid to Britain to report on the London games.
“I’ve been very impressed with this initiative,” said Coe. “I want to continue our commitment to young people.” Coe made the announcement at the Youth Olympic Village in Singapore.
In Singapore 29 reporters from 24 nations will receive training from six experienced mentors in all aspects of the media including text, radio, television, photography and online media. Of those participating, one journalist and one photographer will be to go to London.
