The Turin 2006 Organising Committee (TOROC) has launched its regional promotion programme, "Enter the Games". In order to inform the region’s population about the XX Olympic Winter Games, which will take place in the Piedmont capital from 10 to 26 February 2006, TOROC has chosen to use a 480 bhp truck, 16 metres long and weighing 32 tonnes.
Tomba, Belmondo, Gros
The truck contains information boards and multimedia tools as well as testimonials from Alberto Tomba and Stefania Belmondo. It will tour and stop in 10 Piedmont locations during fairs and cultural events. Champions such as Paolo de Chiesa, Piero Gros and Piero Rebaudengo will welcome the truck's visitors on some of these occasions.
