Turin 2006: Eutelsat chosen as Official Sponsor
Eutelsat has been chosen as an "Official Sponsor" of Turin 2006. The French company, which has its Italian offices in Turin, with its associate company Skylogic Italia, will guarantee closed circuit satellite transmission of the television signal to 5,000 locations serving the Olympic Family.
For Main Press Room and Broadcast Centre
Eutelsat will transmit approximately 50 television channels featuring footage from every competition site during the various sports events, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies as well as the medal ceremonies from the Medal Plaza, and service information. The service will be used by journalists in the Main Press Room, the International Broadcast Centre and the press rooms at the Olympic sites.

"This partnership with Eutelsat," Managing Director of the Turin 2006 Organising Committee (TOROC) Paolo Rota emphasised, "is fundamental for our marketing strategy. We warmly welcome this leading company to our team. So far Turin 2006 has two main sponsors (Fiat and San Paolo Bank) and four other official sponsors (Alfa Romeo, Asics, Berloni and Lancia). Eight official suppliers have also signed a contract.
