TORINO 2006: Discover the Olympic Virtual Village on www.olympic.org
The Olympic Movement and the IOC Medical Commission have been fighting against doping for more than 30 years. Find out about this important subject and see how many anti-doping tests are performed during the Games.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC)’s website www.olympic.org first came online on the occasion of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Summer Games. At that time it served as a one-way communications tool broadcasting institutional content. Today, www.olympic.org has become the portal of the Olympic Movement, delivering not only information relating to the IOC, but all there is to know about past and future Games, sports, athletes, medal results, Olympic collectibles, the Olympic Museum and much more, including a specific section where visitors can ask questions directly to Olympic experts.
