This week at the Olympic Museum… (03.10.05)


From Sunday 9 to Thursday 13 October: 25th Olympic Week. The Olympic Movement celebrates youth and sport, and Olympic Week its quarter of a century. It’s party time! Parents are invited to join in. This year once again, the Olympic Museum is very pleased to organise the Olympic Week, with the support of the City of Lausanne, sports and activity clubs in the region, volunteers and sponsors. Its aim is to recall and disseminate the values of Olympism through the practice of sport: the Olympic spirit means solidarity, respect, fair play, joy and friendship. For 9-15 year-olds. Forty sports and activities on the programme: comic strip workshop, athletics, rowing, giant table football, badminton, baseball, biathlon, bobsleigh, broomball, capoeira, table curling, climbing, games of skill, American football, weightlifting, handball, hip-hop, disco-fox and salsa, initiation to lifesaving, tasting games, judo, koshiki karatedo, marathon, road safety, rollerskating, ski jumping, skiing, cross-country skiing, make-up stand, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, archery, twirling, unihockey, cycling/mountain biking, sailing, and volleyball.
