The Olympic Games are all this and more

This is the title of the exhibition inaugurated today at the Raffles City Shopping Centre in Singapore by IOC President Jacques Rogge, on the occasion of the 117th Session of the International Olympic Committee in Singapore.
A lot at stake!
Today, the Olympic Games arouse more and more interest. Most of the world's big cities wish to host them. And the 117th Session in Singapore is the moment of truth for Paris, New York, Moscow, London and Madrid - the five candidate cities for the Games of the XXX Olympiad in 2012. There can only be one single winner at the end of the vote on Wednesday 6 July.
The Olympic Museum: exhibition designer
In order to celebrate the event in a suitable fashion, the Olympic Museum thought up a special exhibition entitled The Olympic Games are all this and more. It is split into five sections, representing the five Olympic rings. One section explains the stages in an Olympic candidature, and another one highlights all the athletes from Singapore since they participated for the first time in the London Games in 1948.
History of the Olympic Games
The other sections recount the history of the Olympic Games in three parts: from Athens in 1896 to Los Angeles in 1932; from Berlin in 1936 to Montreal in 1976; and finally from Moscow in 1980 to Athens in 2004.
Mobile exhibition

After the Session, the exhibition will be presented in schools in Singapore. Its aim is to make the city's students aware of the values of the Olympic Games and Movement.
