The IOC and the Olympic Museum celebrate 10 years of the Eurosport Olympic Magazine

Yesterday evening, the IOC and the Olympic Museum celebrated ten years of the Olympic Magazine by sports channel Eurosport. On this occasion, IOC President Jacques Rogge, IOC Honorary President for Life Juan Antonio Samaranch and Head of Eurosport International Angelo Codignoni came to the Olympic Museum in Lausanne to pay tribute to 10 years of reporting dedicated to the Olympic Movement, its history, events and the people involved.

On 23 June 1993, the anniversary of the creation of the IOC by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the then IOC President, Juan Antonio Samaranch, inaugurated the Olympic Museum and simultaneously launched the Olympic Magazine, co-produced by Eurosport, the European Broadcasting Union and the IOC. Since then, the Magazine has continuously covered the activities of the Olympic Movement while promoting its values.

To celebrate this joint anniversary, Eurosport offered the Olympic Museum two promotional spots illustrating, through the experiences of Olympic champions Simon Amman (SUI, ski jump) and David Douillet (FRA, judo), the spirit of the Olympic, which everyone can discover through the various Museum exhibitions.
