Sports Events Management Seminar

The third edition of the Sports Events Management & Organisation Seminar (SEMOS) will take place from 14 to 17 October 2003 in Lausanne.

Case study
This four-day seminar, organised by the International Academy of Sports Science and Technology (AISTS), will offer an overview of the key tasks that the managers of the Organising Committees need to successfully plan, communicate and implement. It will conclude with a detailed case study from a major international sporting event.

Increased expectations
SEMOS has brought together managers from ASOIF, the AIOWF and the IOC, with the experts from the AISTS group of institutions, to help create a seminar that is both pertinent and practical, and recognises the increased expectations of the spectators, media, sponsors and broadcasters at major events.

Great success
The first two editions of the seminar have met with great success, with participants from Olympic Games organising committees and candidate cities (Athens, Turin, Beijing, Salzburg, PyeongChang and Vancouver), as well as from International Federations (the ITF, UEFA, the UCI, FITA and FISA) and World Championship events (FIS Are 2007). All the participants found it very relevant and valuable.
