Speed, strength, tricks and kicks… check out the Nanjing 2014 Sports Lab!

What do you get when you put roller sports , skateboarding, sports climbing and wushu all together?… A super cool venue with world class athletes all showcasing their amazing sports at the Nanjing 2014 Sports Lab!

For the first time in the short history of the Youth Olympic Games, this summer will see the arrival of this brand new concept, which, in the spirit of the YOG, tests out new ideas to inspire our young fans to get active and enjoy sport.

These four sports will bring their top 16 international and Chinese athletes to Nanjing to showcase their awesome professions to the world in a programme of performances each day.

The Nanjing 2014 Sports Lab itself will be a unique all-in-one venue – with wushu mats, a skate park, a climbing wall and roller track all in the same location. There will be no competitions, just pure fun, with the emphasis on showcasing their capabilities and wowing the crowds with their extreme action.


Even YOG athletes and the spectators will be invited to try out these cool new sports!
