Seven Sport events to be held during August 2003

Seven sport events (out of a total of 40 scheduled to take place by June 2004) are to be held during August this year, in order to train and test Venue Teams (ATHOC staff, volunteers and contractors), to test all aspects of competition, and to fully test technology systems.
These sports/disciplines are the following: rowing, archery, equestrian (eventing), canoe-kayak (flatwater racing), cycling (road race), volleyball (beach volleyball) and sailing.

The organisation of sport events for all Olympic Sports is a contractual obligation of ATHOC. These sport events are held in compliance with the specifications of the corresponding International Federations, who exercise technical control over each sport.
