Re-live the “Battle of the Brians”

There were two Brians on the ice at the Olympic Saddledome in Calgary on 22 February 1988. The Canadian Orser and the American Boitano.

The whole city of Alberta and millions of TV viewers were thrilled to watch the “Battle of the Brians”, one the highlights of the XV Olympic Winter Games. Between these two, the men’s figure skating title was up for grabs in the free programme. Relive the fantastic performance by Brian Boitano, and see how he won the gold medal, thanks to his daring and technical perfection. A moment in Games history was played out that day.
