President Rogge arrives in Durban ahead of 123rd IOC Session

IOC President Jacques Rogge arrived today in Durban, South Africa ahead of the meetings of the Executive Board and 123rd IOC Session, where the host city of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games will be chosen on 6 July.

President Rogge was greeted at King Shaka International Airport by Durban Mayor Councillor James Nxumalo, Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Dr. Zweli Mkhize, Minister of Sport and Recreation for South Africa Fikile Mbalula and IOC Member Executive Board member Sam Ramsamy.

President Rogge will chair an IOC Executive Board meeting this afternoon before attending the Opening Ceremony of the IOC Session at the Durban Playhouse tomorrow evening.
