Olympic Store opened in Turin

The first sales point (outlet) for products bearing the “Torino 2006” trademark is being opened in the departure hall of Turin’s Caselle airport. All the products that have been awarded the exclusive “Torino 2006” trademark will be on sale in the store.

Seven licensees
Seven licensees are present so far and others will be added in 2004: Asics Italia: sports and casual apparel, accessories and backpacks; Dale of Norway: sweaters of Norwegian wool; Ferrino: mountain and trekking accessories; Swatch: watches; Ikon: celebrative medals; Trofé: pins and rings; and Caffarel: chocolate.

Eight stores for the Turin Games
The Caselle Olympic Store, like others that will be opening in the coming months in the centre of Turin and in Milan’s Malpensa airport and Rome’s Fiumicino airport, making a total of eight Olympic Store outlets by 2006, is run by the Nuance Group. This Group has already handled the management of shops for the Organising Committees of Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004.
