Olympic Museum: Turin 2006 honoured
Fifty years after Cortina 1956, Italy is once again hosting the Olympic Winter Games from 10 to 26 February 2006 in Turin. The Olympic Museum in Lausanne is devoting its next temporary exhibition to this major event. The exhibition can be visited between 25 October 2005 and 17 April 2006.
Touch of charm
This exhibition illustrates a touch of charm, a certain style, and a love of sport and the environment. Turin and the host region of Piedmont add to this not only their concrete commitment and competences as regards the organisation, but also and above all a cultural and historical legacy, traditions and a natural beauty to be discovered.
Three themed sections
It is for all these reasons that Torino 2006 represents much more than the Olympic Winter Games. The exhibition awakens the spirit of these Games with three themed sections which illustrate the most curious and fascinating aspects. Passion in red, Piedmont in yellow and technology and the environment in blue. A beautiful journey through the colours of Torino 2006.
