The Adler arena was built to host the speed skating competitions of the Olympic Winter Games. In 2014, it became a multifunctional centre, hosting a variety of events, such as forums, conferences, meetings and exhibitions. Presently, the venue functions as a regional tennis academy, featuring two clay courts and three hard courts. In spring 2014, it hosted a Fed Cup match between the Russian and Argentinian women’s teams. In 2015, two more facilities opened at the arena: the Yulia Barsukova Gymnastics Centre and the Bullet Hockey Training Centre.
