The new Olympic Channel brings you news, highlights, exclusive behind the scenes, live events and original programming, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
Following on from success in both Singapore and Innsbruck, international organisations such as the International Olympic Academy (IOA), the International Fair Play Committee (CIFP), the International Olympic Truce Centre (IOTC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent societies (IFRC) and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV /AIDS (UNAIDS), will host a variety of engaging, educative booths within the World Culture Village.
The athletes will be given a chance to learn more about and reflect on important issues they are facing in their daily life via fun, interactive and imaginative methods such as games and workshops.
By using sport as a tool to educate and empower young athletes, it is hoped that these activities will foster young people’s interest and understanding of global issues, inspire them to be responsible citizens and play an active role in sharing what they have learned with their communities.
Stay tuned for more about what the athletes will be getting up to in the World Culture Village!
