Three Olympic Winter Games and two gold medals, plus two bronze medals at the World Championships in Bobsleigh- these are the incredible sporting achievements of Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games Athlete Role Model Heather Moyse. So you can imagine the wealth of knowledge she has to pass on to the future generation of athletes!

The Canadian athlete is not just a bobsledder but also part of the Canadian National Rugby Union team (sevens), with which she has competed in several World Cups.

Rugby sevens will debut at the Youth Olympic Games this summer, ahead of its Olympic introduction in Rio, in 2016.

It’s safe to say that Heather really is an all-round talent.  But every all-round talent needs time to relax!

Besides playing rugby and being a bobsledder, Heather enjoys hanging out with her friends, being a hobby photographer and spending time with her family.

Asked about her inspiration and motivation doing two different kinds of sport to such a high level, she said: “I am inspired and motivated by challenges. I love seeing how much I can push myself and how much I can achieve, pushing past the limitations that society has set as being possible.”
