McDonald’s Celebrates Olympic Champion Crew

McDonald’s, a Worldwide Olympic Partner, staged a global webcast celebration in Turin  to honour the McDonald’s Olympic Champion Crew, a select group of top McDonald’s restaurant employees from around the world who earned a trip to the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games. The event showcased how McDonald’s best employees from around the world embody the Olympic ideals.
A McDonald’s “Parade of Nations”
The McDonald’s Olympic Champion “Crew As Stars” Event at the Pathe Lingotto Multiplex Cinema borrowed concepts from the Olympic Games, such as the Parade of Nations and the awarding of medals. The event also showcased McDonald’s new “Olympic Dreams” advertisement and featured stories from select crew members about the opportunities they’ve received through working at McDonald’s.
A Strong Tradition
McDonald’s has developed a strong tradition of awarding its top restaurant employees from around the world — selected on such criteria as teamwork and dedication — with the opportunity to work at the Olympic Games. The company is bringing more than 300 of its best employees from 24 countries to serve the world’s greatest athletes at Torino 2006.
Congratulations from the IOC
IOC Executive Board Member Gerhard Heiberg congratulated the McDonald’s Crew: “The Olympic athletes have worked hard for years. They have proven themselves to be the best at what they do. Now they have come to Turin from around the world to give a great effort and do their very best. You, the McDonald’s Olympic Champion Crew, have done the same.”
