It’s a cool summer… for curling!

The sun is shining; the weather is sweet, perfect for a game of… CURLING!? That’s right! Our YOG on the road team discovered earlier this month that a special Curling Camp was being held in Füssen, Germany, for 118 young curlers from around the world.

Also attending the 13th Annual World Curling Federation Junior Curling Camp were 16 athletes who have Innsbruck 2012 in their sights; and with all this summer preparation, we hope to see them representing their countries in January.

The aim of this event is to give young curlers from around the world the chance to train under the guidance of highly qualified international instructors, as well as giving them an opportunity to have loads of fun and make friends from all corners of the globe.

Activities were held on and off the ice, with fitness and Pilates classes to help keep the body strong and injury free, as well as Scottish country dancing, outdoor challenges and bobsledding.

Hearing there was so much fun to be had, Yoggl was there like a shot and joined the young athletes to brush up on his curling skills in preparation for Innsbruck 2012!
