IOC Working Meeting on irregular and illegal sports betting, 1 March 2011 – Information for the media
The IOC will hold a Working Meeting on irregular and illegal sports betting on Tuesday 1 March 2011 at the IOC Headquarters in Lausanne.
The meeting, which will be chaired by IOC President Jacques Rogge, will comprise members of the Olympic Movement, including representatives from International Federations and National Olympic Committees, ministers from Australia, France, Switzerland and the UK, international organisations such as Interpol, the European Union, the United Nations, and sports betting operators.
Please note that the meeting will be closed to the media but working facilities will be provided, and the IOC President will hold a press conference at 3 p.m. (CET) on the same day at the IOC Headquarters.
A photo opportunity for photographers and cameramen only will be organised before the start of the meeting. Media interested are requested to be present in the IOC Headquarters lobby at 8.50 a.m.
Media representatives wishing to take part in the photo opportunity and/or cover the press conference are requested to confirm their attendance and register by 25 February via the IOC website.
