IOC TO HOLD GENE THERAPY SYMPOSIUM
Lausanne, 5 June 2001 - The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will hold a Gene Therapy Symposium on the theme “Gene therapy and its future impact on Sport” on 6 June 2001 in Lausanne. This symposium, which will gather experts in genetics, will aim to define gene therapy and appreciate its potential impact on sport from an ethical and scientific point of view. At the end of the day, the panel of experts will issue a series of recommendations.
