The IOC today confirmed in writing to New York 2012 the following:
'As you know, the Ethics Commission was asked to look into certain statements made by your bid committee during its presentation to the ASOIF General Assembly in Berlin in order to clarify any perceived non-compliance with the IOC’s rules of conduct.
The IOC Ethics Commission has noted that representatives of your bid committee were able to prove that the creation of an Olympic Sports Marketing Council was an integral part of your Candidature File (Pages 32-34, Theme 1) and that this matter had been developed during the Evaluation Commission’s visit to New York.
The IOC therefore considers this matter to be closed.'
